The EuroXR association would like to cordially invite you to contribute to the Special Issue titled « Sensors and Wearables for AR/VR Applications, » with Dr. Mario Lorenz from the Chemnitz University of Technology as the guest editor.
This Special Issue focuses on the transformative role of sensors and wearables in extended reality (XR), encompassing augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications. As these technologies continue to evolve, they offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance human–computer interaction (HCI) and optimize human factors in various environments.
Contributions that explore the integration of wearable sensors and advanced haptic feedback systems to create immersive and interactive experiences are welcome. Research addressing the concept of presence in virtual environments is particularly encouraged, as it plays a crucial role in user engagement and effectiveness. Prototypes of both sensors and actuators are particularly encouraged, emphasizing innovative designs that can advance the field.
